Drug Testing Information

Tested and Untested Categories

The World Fitness Alliance offers both Tested and Free Competition categories!

We do not hold a corporate position on Tested or Free Fitness & Bodybuilding Competitions. It is our hope that in offering both Tested and Free categories, that no one has to be turned away, or discriminated against because of a personal choice. It is also our intention to eliminate the temptation to “cheat” or to “sneak into” a competition, hoping to safely win a prize in a show that is strictly “natural”. It is only with everyone’s help that we are going to be able to be successful in this new endeavor. Thank you in advance everyone, for helping us achieve this goal.

We know that drug testing adds quite a bit of money to the cost of an athlete’s registration fees. We are doing our best to keep those costs down. The World Fitness Alliance can choose to test all athletes entering our Tested categories in one or more of the following ways:

  • Polygraph
  • Urine Sample

When We Test

The World Fitness Alliance reserves the right to test all athletes entering a Tested category at any given time, including at Registration, and up to and throughout the awarding of Trophies & Prizes. We reserve the right to test one, or test all. WE WILL HOWEVER TEST EVERY SINGLE WINNER IN OUR TESTED CATEGORIES! ALL WINNERS AGREE TO BE TESTED AND THUS, PAY FOR THEIR TEST AT THE TIME OF TESTING OR SAMPLE COLLECTION. IF THEY DO NOT WISH TO BE TESTED, OR DO NOT WISH TO PAY FOR THE TEST, THEIR WIN AND ALL PRIZES ASSOCIATED WITH THAT WIN ARE FORFEITED!

Polygraph screenings and Urine Analysis are sometimes used in tandem because a large number of anabolic steroids and other banned substances are no longer detectable in urine within a month or two from last use, and growth hormone is not detected in a routine sports panel urine testing.

Bikini Athletes

Special Note To Bikini Athletes, and to their Coaches & Trainers: Approximately half of the competitors who don’t pass the polygraph test are Bikini Competitors. Drug use is not always about gaining maximum muscle size. Certain banned substances, which are more popular amongst female athletes can yield an unfair advantage with getting leaner and shapelier more easily. So the answer is… just don’t lie about it! We have categories for all Tested and Non-Tested Athletes, enter the right one and save yourself a world of embarrassment and shame.

And believe it, if you are caught, YOU WILL BE SHAMED IN THE PUBLIC SQUARE OF SOCIAL MEDIA!

Athletes with muscle implants are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in WFA events!
